Manual for the self-employed
Among the fundamental principles of Slovak labour law is that dependent work may only be carried out within a labour law relationship. A labour law relationship includes i. employment concluded on the basis of an employment contract, ii. work based on an agreement, i.e. an agreement on work performed outside of an employment relationship, and iii. an employment relationship established by a contract similar to an employment contract – e.g. a service contract – for state employees, soldiers or police officers.
